Despite the slower pace and small town atmosphere, Granbury has plenty for the day trip traveler to see and do. There's always a performance going on at Granbury Live, or you can take a sightseeing cruise on the riverboat, or squeeze the family in the car and go to an authentic 1950s style drive-in.
A fan review of the Granbury Live production "THE BEAT GOES ON"
WOW, what a great show. My wife Carol and I are regulars at Granbury Live and have not missed but a couple since we moved here in 2001. Today's “The Beat Goes On” was among the best I have ever been to. Sean Mitchell’s rendition of Pretty Woman was as good as it gets, probably better than Roy Orbison’s. Having been to Branson and seen Shoji. He is good, but if I had to rate them I would put Mike Echols #1 and Shoji #2. What a show Zac Wilson put on, awesome. Now from my wife, one last comment about Sean. When he sang Unchained Melody it put goose bumps all over. One more time, What a Show. Thank you Granbury Live.

Granbury's premier live music theater has been delivering family friendly nostalgic concerts for 8 years. Featuring shows that would rival any in Branson, this entertainment venue has become a must see attraction for the DFW day trip traveler. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and the sound, lighting, and costuming are top notch.

Show themes range from the classic oldies of the 50's and 60's, to todays top pop and country hits. The talent level of the vocalists and instrumentalists are equal to any that you would see in Vegas or New York.

The audience frequently becomes a part of the show as the crowd joins in the fun. This is by far Granbury's best entertainment buy for the dollar!
Performances run Fridays and Saturdays. Granbury Live is located in the Historic District on the square at 110 N. Crockett St. Call 800-989-8240 for tickets and show times.
A recent review from a Brazos patron
I get such a kick out of telling people that we went to the drive-in over the weekend. The usual response is, "Really?!! I didn't know there was any left." I love telling everyone about the Brazos.

Anyone who grew up in the 1950s or 60s will appeciate the tasty homemade hamburgers, and the authentic atmosphere of the Brazos. One of the few remaining working drive-ins in Texas, the Brazos recently completed renovations which gave it updated amenities, while still keeping its nostalgic charm.
Movies run on the weekends beginning at 7pm during operating season. Call (817) 573-1311 for movie schedule.
Directions from I-20: Take hiway 377 south to Granbury. Veer right at the Historic District sign (Business 377). 377 becomes Pearl St. Pass through the downton square and go 2.5 miles to the Brazos.
